We are seeking a skilled and motivated Water Treatment Field Service Engineer to join our technical service team. This is a varied, hands‑on role supporting customers across the UK (and occasionally overseas), working on a wide range of water treatment systems and providing high‑quality technical support. Ideally based anywhere from Wiltshire down to Devon

Role Overview

The position involves servicing, maintaining, and supporting water treatment equipment at customer sites, ensuring systems operate safely, efficiently, and in line with technical and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain water treatment systems, including:
    • Reverse Osmosis (RO)
    • Deionisers
    • Filtration systems
    • Water softeners
    • Effluent treatment plant
  • Build and manage strong working relationships with customers and plant operatives
  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues both on‑site and via remote support
  • Install and commission new plant and equipment (subject to skills and qualifications)
  • Complete service reports and associated documentation using MS Word
  • Respond to customer needs in line with agreed technical and commercial specifications
  • Contribute to service improvement initiatives, supporting productivity and profitability
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and professional conduct
  • Adhere to all company policies, including Health & Safety requirements
  • Proactively develop your technical knowledge and skill set

Full training is provided. Engineers are supplied with a company vehicle, PPE, tools, mobile phone, and all necessary equipment.

Some travel and overnight stays will be required to support UK and international clients. Extended commissioning work may occasionally involve several days or, on rare occasions, a couple of weeks away.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

Essential

  • GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Professional, customer‑focused approach
  • Good IT competency, particularly with MS Office

Preferred

  • Electrical background and relevant qualification (mechanical experience also considered)
  • Experience within the water treatment industry
  • Previous experience as a Service Engineer or in a field‑based technical support role
  • Familiarity with PLCs (advantageous but not essential)

  • Strong understanding of technical and mechanical systems
