Our  client is a leading provider of environmental, water consultancy, and equipment services, delivering high-quality solutions across a wide range of sectors. They are currently looking to recruit a Lead Service Engineer to join their Environment & Safety division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to take a leading role within the team, supporting both technical delivery and team development. The role will involve regular travel, including occasional overnight stays and weekend work.

Main Duties:

  • Service and maintain a range of water treatment equipment, including:
  • Softeners
  • Reverse Osmosis (RO) units
  • Ozone units
  • UV systems
  • Dosing units
  • Side stream filtration systems
  • Diagnose faults and carry out technical problem-solving and remedial works
  • Lead and manage installation projects from start to completion
  • Develop and improve service procedures and documentation
  • Act as the technical lead for equipment-related queries
  • Support continuous improvement of operational processes and reporting
  • Assist in developing engineer competency and performance tracking
  • Deliver training and mentoring to junior engineers
  • Monitor team performance and coordinate training requirements
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations
  • Build strong relationships with clients and manage key sites
  • Travel to client sites as required, including overnight stays

 

Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3+ years’ experience servicing water treatment equipment
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • RO systems
  • Water softeners
  • UV and dosing systems
  • Proven experience in fault finding and technical problem solving
  • Experience leading projects or supervising engineers
  • Strong communication and training/mentoring abilities
  • Good understanding of health & safety within industrial environments
  • Customer-focused with strong relationship management skills
  • Flexible approach to travel and working hours
