Our client a specialist Water Treatment Company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Service Technician to join their field team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for servicing, installing, commissioning, and maintaining water treatment systems mainly in the South East of England
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled inspections, part replacements, and preventative maintenance on complex systems
- Respond to urgent and non-urgent service calls, including troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Commission new installations and oversee quality control and system start-up
- Train customer staff and manage handover protocols
- Advise clients on service agreements, consumables, and modernization opportunities
- Maintain accurate service records using our job management system
- Communicate daily with Service Account Managers regarding job status and follow-up actions
- Conduct van audits and ensure tools and stock are in serviceable condition
- Attend team meetings, training courses, and participate in performance reviews
- Support offer preparation and customer visits for modernization proposals
- Monitor equipment performance to identify and prevent potential issues
- Contribute to our internal knowledge base and provide feedback to product and service teams
Technical Expertise
- Installation and maintenance of water treatment systems: Softeners, Filters, RO, UV, and Chemical Dosing
- Calibration of tools and test equipment
- Field modifications and advanced troubleshooting
- Familiarity with valve types (Fleck, Siata, Autotrol, etc.) and pumps (Grundfos, Lowara, Prominent, etc.)
- Experience with ABS and PVC pipework systems
- Understanding of water regulations and COSHH compliance
Candidate Profile
5+ years of hands-on experience in water treatment service engineering
Valid UK driving license
CSCS and EUSR card holders preferred
Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience
Technical education background is an advantage
