Our client is a water treatment company, based in the North East of England, with a UK wide customer base.

They are a market leading chemical manufacturer, that sell into hospitality, leisure, manufacturing, water treatment and engineering sectors across the country.


They are now recruiting for an experienced technically minded Salesperson/Manager with experience of selling technical consumables into industrial markets to cover the UK.



An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Salesperson/Manager to take responsibility for the UK and really make it their own. There has not been a great deal of business development in the last few years so you should be able to excel, there will also be several existing accounts to up-sell into. We would prefer you to be a hunter who can also feed and develop our team.

You will be selling a range of chemicals and equipment used in the cleaning, preparation, and decontamination within various applications across engineering, industrial, and construction environments.

You will be selling into industrial end users and distributors within the hospitality, leisure, manufacturing, water treatment and engineering sectors including industrial automotive.

As part of our team, managing various industrial markets in the UK, you will be supported and mentored by an experienced technical sales chemist.


Develop New Business 75% – You will find and develop new end user business, often jointly with our team. Understand customers process or application requirements and providing a suitable solution and turning that solution into sound commercial sales.

Account Management 25% – You will manage several existing and well-established clints across the UK. There is so much opportunity to up-sell, cross sell and introduce new products to them.

You will already have experience of chemical sales.

You will have experience and exposure in the chemical market.

Have sold direct to end users rather than channel

Demonstrable record of accomplishment in managing accounts

Someone who is prepared to go the extra mile

Clean driving licence
