Our client is a leading Water Treatment Company that is looking to recruit a Water Treatment Softener / Equipment Engineer in the South East.

The Role:

The Service Engineer will be required to service, install, commission and maintain water treatment equipment on site.

The Service Engineer will work with the Service Team Leader and other Team members to deliver first class service in a safe and sustainable manner and ensure timely site attendance and follow up reporting to support the Customer

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver customer satisfaction and achieve the right first-time objective; develop any necessary remedial action plans.
  • Maximise customer trust and retention by professionally delivering help and advice to customers.
  • Deliver site reports to the Service Team Leader by the end of the next working day following the visit.
  • Communicate daily with the Service Team Leader providing job updates including issues, remedial works and follow up duty of care plan where required.
  • Carry out regular van checks to company guidelines (Regular audits to take place)
  • Maintain van stock, tools and equipment in serviceable condition.
  • Attend and actively participate in regular Team meetings.
  • Participate in staff appraisals, skills matrix and regular reviews.
  • Attend necessary training courses including site specific to enhance skills and development.
  • Other duties as required by the Service Team Leader.

Quality, Health and Safety and the Environment

  • Work safely and with due diligence when on site and follow health and safety protocol.
  • Generate and undertake work to RAMS and adhere to any equipment manufacturers design specifications. Attend health & safety exams, self-assessments and courses where necessary.
  • Report accidents, near misses and risks as directed.
  • Make sure all PPE is current and well maintained.
  • Adhere to company and the Customers’ quality control procedures including but not limited to ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001.

 

 

Skills and Qualities Required:

  • Customer service-oriented person, with the motivation to act as an ambassador for the company and promote our reputation for service delivery.
  • Confidence and initiative and to act decisively in the best interests of the company and our customers whilst remaining a committed team player.
  • Persistent and efficient with logical problem-solving skills.
  • Highly effective Time Management and Personal Organisation.
  • Able to communicate fluently/effectively in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills; professional, experience of conflict management and strong powers of persuasion.

Education, Qualifications and Experience:

  • A valid UK driving license.
  • Technical knowledge of maintaining Water Treatment systems such as Softeners and Filters; RO, UV and Chemical Dosing systems would be an advantage.
  • Experience of working extensively on sites within the UK and occasionally abroad.
  • Experience with maintenance management and high level of execution standards
  • Technical educational background an advantage.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English language.
