Our client is a leading Water Treatment Company that is now recruiting for a Water Treatment Technical Manager. This is a National role so candidates can be based anywhere but must be willing to travel

 

ROLE

Ensure technical programs are delivering results for the customer and provide troubleshooting guidance when needed, working with the Global Technical Platform where necessary

Assisting the Water Treatment Chemical team to secure and develop new business and that existing customers are supported and managed inline with the direction and strategy of the company

Lead the technical development of team members

Working with and supporting the Head of Sales and Head of Operations in order to develop, implement and coordinate strategic plans aimed at increasing growth in key process water customers.

Provide market feedback regarding competitive water/process treatment offerings, products and market/product development and delivery of case studies from within the team

The role requires a strong Customer focus to ensure Customer needs and requirements are met within a timely and professional manner to ensure that  the company is projected at all times to be the optimum source of procurement.

The development of technical support processes and procedures in accordance with the required legal frameworks and guidelines

Oversee the implementation of a training and continuous development programme for all employees and new recruits within the Water Treatment Chemical services team.  Create and maintain an employee training matrix.

Attend networking events and seminars to monitor industry trends and innovations.

External market commercial/contractual agreements negotiations.

Assisting with marketing programs such as seminars, presenting papers, producing case studies and attending exhibitions as required.

Perform both field and internal audits in accordance with both good practice and legal guidelines.

The ability to travel widely and at short notice

 

Experience Required

A technical based university degree, or an extensive amount of practical knowledge gained through experience.

Multiple years of experience in the industry. Technical expertise and excellent Customer problem solving skills are essential.

Very good communication skills are required with the ability to express information in a clear and concise manner.

Cooperation with the management team is required. Decisions and actions must promote the success of the organisation. Demonstrated commercial negotiation skills are required.
