Our client is a specialist in the maintenance, repair, servicing and installation of heating, mechanical, electrical and water hygiene building services and equipment in the private and commercial sectors.

They are now recruiting for a Water Treatment Technical Supervisor / Plumber Engineer

Daily Tasks will Include:

  • Answer direct to the Water treatment manager
  • Being first point of contact for all on site engineers when they have issues carrying out works i.e. can’t isolate system, unable to drain down, unable to locate stopcocks, carrying out temporary / permanent repairs etc
  • Going to site and specifying jobs and quoting for major works i.e. full pipework replacements within a block, roof spaces etc
  • Making sure engineers are using the Tablet/PDA correctly i.e. taking good quality photos, filling out surveys / disinfection reports etc and in real time
  • Carrying out engineer competency checks
  • Responding to emails from clients i.e. project style works, updating the clients with progress reports of quoted works and upon completion of quoted works etc
  • Dealing with sub-contractors making sure works have been carried out in a timely manner
  • Attending site after sub-contractors have completed their works making sure the necessary works have been carried out to an acceptable standard
  • Allocating engineers workload for the next day
  • Overlooking PPM programme and descale unit making sure tasks are carried out before their relevant target dates and any issues are reported which prevent works being carried out i.e. leaks on system, valves not isolating etc


Knowledge / Experience required

  • A plumbing qualification City and Guilds or NVQ
  • Experienced in carrying out remedial works such as valve replacements, pipework renewals, removal of dead legs etc. Essential
  • Experienced in carrying out descales of plate heat exchangers, calorifiers etc preferred but not essential
  • Experienced in carrying out dosing and sampling of closed water systems preferred but not essential
  • Experienced in carrying out Legionella risk assessments preferred but not essential
  • A good understanding of communal hot and cold water systems and social housing estate water systems


In return the company offer a basic salary of between £32K - £38K +Company Van etc..
