Our client is a leading Water Treatment Company that is looking to recruit a Service Technician in Ireland, ideally based in the Leinster area however we can consider candidates in county Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow.
As a Water Treatment Technician you will responsible for undertaking installation and service works for Water Treatment contracts. There will also be an element of sales responsibility in regards to identifying business opportunities at existing and prospective customer sites.
Duties:
- As part of a team of Technicians carry out bacteria sampling, temperature monitoring and other such environmental hygiene monitoring tasks
- Carry out closed loop analysis, water tank and cooling tower cleaning and disinfection
- Responsible for installation and service relating to chemical dosing and pre-treatment equipment (softener, RO, chlorine dioxide, UV etc.)
- Removal of waste in accordance with health and safety legislation
- Keep control of any equipment needed to carry out role and make replenishment orders as necessary. Ordering should be efficient and effective to ensure cost control is maintained at all times
- Organize services and daily routing in the most effective way possible and in accordance with instructions from the Technical Services Manager
- Make sure that all services and interventions in the field are pre-approved by the Technical Services Manager
- Ensure all aspects of health and safety requirements are complied with.
- Comply with quality standards and any applicable industry standards.
- Carry out any other duties in line with the scope of the post.
Experience required:
- Must possess a current full driving licence
- Previous experience in the water treatment industry and pre-treatment systems listed above is desirable.
- Good knowledge of Health and Safety policies and practices is essential.
- A Plumbing Trade or Sciences / Environmental Science / Engineering background would be desirable.
- Basic plumbing skills / electrical experience is essential.
